  • Chinatown Grocery Program April 2023-Present (Oakland, CA)

CLP started our Oakland Chinatown in April 2023 at Lincoln Square Park handing our fresh produce, dried goods, and PPE to 100 Chinese elders monthly. In January 2024, we transitioned this program to focus on a single senior living facility that a majority of our community members live in. We expanded our program by serving 200 elders monthly directly to their doors. We hope to connect the Chinese youth and elders through this program and expand beyond food distribution in the future!

  • Mission Social Investigation and Disaster Awareness Progam 2021-Present (San Francisco, CA)

Mission based cadre have been engaged in social investigation and organizing work in the mission for over 2 years. During this time they have taken part in various efforts in the mission around the 24th St. BART Plaza, the Hunger Strike for Non-Profit Workers at Companeros Del Barrio, working with the SF General Hospital to donate school supplies to students, and a pop-up medic tent at the annual hillbomb in 2024. We are currently planning future political education reading groups as well as a disaster awareness program in the Mission to prepare the community when natural disasters could strike. CLP also offered bimonthly political education sessions for the community in the Mission from June 2022-December 2022.

  • Public Political Education Classes November 2020-Present (San Francisco, Oakland, and Online)

CLP has provided public political education as a cornerstone of its programs since its founding. These programs employ a dialogical approach to revolutionary education and raise the political development of the community as well as local organizers/activists. Many of CLP's members have joined the organization through these education programs. We also provide space within these programs for special events and guest speakers such as Jalil Muntaqim, Tongo Eisen-Martin, and the Sogorea Te Land Trust.

  • Berkeley Unhoused Support Program Sep 2021-June 2022 (Berkeley, CA)

For nearly a year we engaged in weekly aid distributions at People's Park in aid distributions to the local unhoused community. During this time we engaged with residents regarding the ongoing effort of the UC to evict the residents and destroy the park. We provided meals, snacks, hygiene kits and safety supplies. We also planned and executed a large community event with over 100 attendees where speakers addressed the issues facing the community. We remained engaged in the efforts to defend the park from development after the end of our program in June.

  • Community Gardening Program Nov 2020-October 2022 (Hayward, CA)

We have operated for 2 years a community garden plot in Hayward. This 20x20' plot directly supplies produce for our other programs. We also use this plot to educate the local community on sustainable food practices and food sovereignty. We host monthly gardening days where we include practical education lessons on various topics related to cooking/gardening and political education.

  • Fremont Encampment Program Nov 2020-August 2022 (Fremont, CA)

For nearly 2 years we served a large encampment in Fremont. Water security is one of the hardest challenges that unhoused people face. We provided weekly water deliveries which consisted of collecting and cleaning 5 gallon water jugs and filling them at a local water store (free of charge). We also operated a commissary for the encampment where we shared material aid and invited residents to share resources. We worked with local encampment leaders to coordinate these programs. We discontinued this program after we were able to donate a Subaru Outback to the encampment leader as a tool for the camp to autonomously coordinate water deliveries. In all we delivered over 5500+ gallons of water.

  • Free Lunch and Grocery Program Aug 2020-May 2021 (Union City, CA)

This was the founding program of our organization. We supplied 4400+ hot meals and 100k+ lbs of food to the community in Union City/South Hayward, distributed on a weekly basis at Charles F Kennedy park.

  • Monthly Reading Recommendations

We believe that proper political education is crucial when aiming and organizing with marginalized communities. We must learn from those who came before use if we want to dismantle oppressive systems. Through reading, we can develop better strategies and analytical skills to help our community. We publish reading recommendations given by our organizers for the community to develop with us. Click below to get access to the list and PDF’s of these texts.
